This is just two identical sheets of paper, typed in Word or whatever, that say, "I (sellers name, address) agree to sell my (whatever item/s) to (buyers name, address) for the sum of $XXX, shipping costs included." Then both parties sign the sheets, each party keeps one. Do this by mail. (Actually fax one, sign one. The other guy signs the fax and mails it to you, you mail yours to him. That way you each have the other guys signature, unphotocopied.) It doesn't have to be overly legal, but it is indeed legal proof. My bank had me get one when I bought my Z from a guy in the next state. Nothing to it, protects you big time. Yes, I realize this doesn't help you today, but it might help a lot of people tomorrow.
